Shane - Jefferson Forest High - Class of 2017 - Lynchburg Senior Photography

I had two firsts for Shane's senior portrait session.  He is the first JROTC student and the first swimmer.  It was a fun challenge to capture these interests for him.  We shot his sessions downtown on the Blackwater Creek trail, at Monument Terrace, and at the YMCA where he is a life guard.

Shane was great to work with.  He has big plans for his future with a possible future in the Marines.  I wish him luck in whatever he chooses to do and know he will be do well!

Senior Portraits - A little something different {Virginia Senior Photography}

The second part of this shoot I decided to work with my lights like I usually do but push it a little bit.  We shot in front of a wall of aluminum foil and in the shed where we store our lawn mower.  Yup, doesn't have to be a fancy place to create interesting images.  I added gels to my speed lights in the shed and those ended up being my favorites.  It was fun to shoot how I wanted and to create something interesting and different.

I enjoy shooting outside in the beautiful Virginia country side.  But if you are that Senior that wants something a little different, I can accommodate that as well!

Modern Glamour Senior Studio Shoot {Rustburg Senior Photographer - Alison Creasy}

I am going to split this session into two blogs.  This is a session I did to practice some lighting techniques.  It's so easy to get caught up in shooting for clients that you forget to do some shooting for yourself.  To keep learning and expanding your skills.  This set up was to practice getting a soft natural light look but with studio lights.  I am happy with how they turned out.  I am thankful these young ladies gave up their afternoon to model for me!  Thanks girls!

Kieran - Heritage High - Class of 2017 - Lynchburg Senior Photography

Seems like forever ago we shot Kieran's senior portraits.  Due to their busy schedules we just got the chance to sit down and he was able to view and choose his images.  We got to use his Grandfathers antique truck, which was beautiful.  I enjoyed working with him and wish him best of luck in choosing a college and for the rest of his senior year!!
